Abstract
Description
This study uses the extensive groundwater data collected by the Bureau of Land Management in the Powder River Basin, Wyoming, and gas and water production from the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to assess the effects of Coalbed Methane on groundwater levels. Regional effects are discussed as they relate to the five major coal zones in the basin. The appendix contains water level and production statistics as well as data time series for all monitoring sites. WSGS PubID: OFR-06-5
