Abstract
Description
This project looks at the events of the German Reformation and its correlation to revolution. The goal is to prove that the German Reformation should be considered as a political revolution. This is done by defining what a revolution is, examining the writings of Martin Luther concerning government, and examining the actions taken by the nobility and peasantry in response to Luther's writings. By demonstrating the revolutionary aspects of the German Reformation, this research sheds new light on what we consider revolutionary and how revolutions took place long before the modern era.
