Wyoming Suicides: Prevention & Intervention

Gaudern, Samantha
Abstract
Description
Suicide rates in Wyoming are very high, even when compared to the rest of the United States. This has been a topic in Wyoming for a very long time, but it is still a very stigmatized topic. There are many intervention and prevention techniques which are taking place in Wyoming, but many individuals are unaware of these techniques. My desire in this project is to remove the stigma which surrounds suicide and enlighten others on the efforts to decrease the rates. My project aims to enlighten individuals on the current intervention and prevention techniques, questioning what else can be done, and destigmatizing the topic as a whole.
