Since traditional computer input methods are often too difficult for young children to use, it is not yet fully known how much educational benefit these young children could potentially derive from direct interaction with computer systems. In cooperation with the University of Wyoming Early Childcare and Education Center, we designed, developed, and evaluated an educational software solution for preschool-aged children that utilizes non-traditional input methods.
