Preventing Central-line associated blood stream infections

Abstract
Description
This evidence-based research project looks at multiple research articles about central line care bundles in the hospital setting. Central line care bundles are one of the best ways to prevent central line-associated bloodstream infections. For my senior nursing capstone, I was placed on the oncology unit at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Many oncology patients have central lines, so I became very interested in how to best prevent central line-associated bloodstream infections, which are dangerous to the patient and costly to our healthcare system.
