Abstract
Description
Textbooks are one of the most expensive items, which college students have to buy in every single semester. We cannot reduce the cost of textbooks to zero dollar, but we can significantly reduce the cost by helping each other in college. Textbook Exchange Application helps students to find used textbooks for their classes, and it also allows students to donate their used textbook to help other students. Students can search textbook with ISBN, book title or course number. In order to use this application, students need to have a valid UW email address. The project has implemented in two platforms including Android app and web application. Android app is written in java using android development kit. Similarly, web application is written in PHP. Both platform use common MySQL database to store user information and books details.
