Abstract
Description
The Shirley Basin mine in central Wyoming was one of the most productive uranium mines in Wyoming’s history. Geologists working in this underground mine in the early 1960s discovered many previously unknown characteristics of roll front uranium deposits, leading to a better understanding of their nature and allowing for more accurate predictions of their occurrence in the subsurface.
