Abstract
Description
Accounting is not simply a business that lives in the language of numbers – it is a multifaceted and multicultural business. Culture is a significant influencer in how people behave and interact in both their personal and professional lives. This holds true for the accounting world. This research examines how culture has influenced international accounting and different accounting standards, specifically GAAP and IFRS. Finally, this research attempts to bridge the inevitable gap between different nations and their unique cultures.
