What Does Life After Forty Look Like for Women?
This project is a journalistic, interview-to-narrative style paper. I interviewed eight women between the ages of forty and seventy-four about aging with regard to their physical, mental, emotional, relational, spiritual, and environmental/cultural health. Four of the women were Caucasian/white and four were women of color. Through the interviews, I gained an appreciation for aging, and collected stories and thoughts to encourage young women to think about their future and not fear aging. My hope is to encourage and inspire young women in their aging process going forward.
