Investigating the Creative Process and Inspirations of the Choreographic Work, VIA AIR MAIL

This project explores the process of creating the choreographic work VIA AIR MAIL, based off of old World War II love letter. Performed by two dancers, the six section work follow's one couple's journey of separation, loneliness, and love during the war. The accompanying paper discusses the choreographic process in depth as well as inspirations and influences that aided in the piece's creation. VIA AIR MAIL was presented for adjudication at the 2016 American College Dance Association's Northwest Conference.
