Importance of Early Music Education and Proposal for the Non-Profit "Listen-Up Project", The
thesis
posted on 2021-11-15, 19:03 authored by Amelia W. SheesleyThis thesis is provides research to support the argument that there are great academic and personal benefits to early music education in schools and should therefore be kept and well-funded. This research is pulled from many studies on the cognitive and behavioral effects of music education in children. Additionally, information was taken from interviews collected from University of Wyoming students. Finally, this thesis contains a proposal for a non-profit program which would provide music education for students who might not have the resources to get it elsewhere, called the Listen-Up Project.
