Storytelling Triumphs
presentation
posted on 2021-11-15, 18:17 authored by Katelyn YoungThe art of telling stories is often left to the professionals: Shakespeare, Hemmingway, Woolf, etc. The list can go on. While their tales live on in our libraries, this art form of storytelling is often left untouched in general education English classrooms because of the stigma that, "General education students cannot write creative stories well, it should be left to the Honors students." This research seeks to debunk that myth. In this research, the truth behind student engagement and empowerment emerging through the medium of storytelling is discussed with relation to a local middle school general education English class.
