The narrative chapters include stories, examples, and UW policy information that help to describe the RA position. The tenth chapter includes again narration about how Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs) have affected my experience as a RA, but also collected data and changes that have happened to the FIG program while I have been on staff for UW Residential Life and Dining Services (RLDS). The goal of this paper is to show the importance of RA/Resident relationships and how they support success in the school and social settings of adulthood.
