How to Write a ReadMe

posted on 11.05.2021, 21:26 by Shannon Alexandra Sheridan

As more emphasis is placed on the reproducibility of research, funders are increasingly requiring the data underlying research to be made available. Often times this means placing research data in a repository where others can access it. However, in order for others to understand that data, a ReadMe is a valuable document that can provide needed context. This workshop discusses how to craft a useful ReadMe file, and also provide an overview of the University of Wyoming’s institutional data repository, WyoScholar. This workshop is aimed at researchers, graduate students, and faculty.
