Struggle in the Gem City: Organizing for Civil Rights in Laramie

The network of law enforcement institutions in the United States is one of the most well armed, funded and lethal agencies in the world, eclipsing the resources dedicated to most of the world’s national militaries. Even in Laramie Wyoming, Americans expressed a massive outcry following the murder of George Floyd over the summer of 2020. This meant nationwide protests - my honors capstone details my experience with organizing the Laramie demonstrations, and the over ten hours of video content which I made to educate the public on the history of racism.
